To me, food is much more than nutrition. When shared with others, it’s community, joy, celebration, laughter, and love. That’s what the holidays are all about. Spending time with your loved ones, gathering around a big dinner table, and sharing food and stories.
I usually spend the holidays with my family. We cook and bake all day long to then enjoy a delicious meal together. It’s a tradition that I wouldn’t miss for the world!
But I also like celebrating and dining with my friends. Therefore I co-hosted a pre-Christmas dinner with the lovely Katharina from Gold ist keine Farbe and Sarah from One Slice More three weeks ago. We spent a day cooking and baking while listening to Christmas music – it was so much fun! I love being in the kitchen with like-minded people who have a passion for food and healthy lifestyles.
Here is what our clean Christmas dinner menu looked like:
- Vegan eggnog and Christmas fruit bread
- Beef stew with spelt dumplings and cabbage date salad
- Avocado chocolate mousse and Matcha Gingerbread Cookies
Food gatherings are not only about the food itself but also about the decoration. Fortunately, we had support from Doro and Vroni who created a magical dinner table decoration. And because this was a night to remember, the talented Konstantin took some beautiful pictures.
I wish you all a wonderful time with your family and friends!
Happy Holidays!
