bake and nourish is a healthy baking blog. It’s about the love of baking delicious treats and nourishing your body with wholesome food.
It’s about balance… the balance between celebrating food by indulging in satisfying sweets and taking care of your body by giving it the nutrients it needs to help you become the best version of yourself.
Food is not just nourishment, but also pleasure, community, and love. I genuinely believe that you should have that buttery croissant when you sit in a cafe with your best friend sharing stories and laughter, or that sweet cupcake when celebrating your niece’s birthday. It’s about enjoying food and appreciating it for what it is… and making conscious decisions about when to indulge and eat something to nourish your soul!
But then, on a daily basis loading up on veggies and fruits to fuel your body. Eating (and ideally cooking) healthy and nutritious meals that allow you to stay fit, awake, focused and energized.
I started bake and nourish to combine my passion for baking with my interest in a balanced and wholesome diet. I’ve loved baking since I was a little girl growing up in a tiny village in the German Black Forest. Ever since, there’s nothing more fulfilling for me than watching someone enjoying my home-baked goods. When I moved to New York in 2012, I started to become curious and more mindful about nutrition, and about the types of food that nourish the body. This was when bake and nourish – and ultimately my healthy baking blog – was born. At the beginning of 2016, I moved back to Munich where I am continuing and constantly growing my love of baking and nourishing food.
I am beyond excited to finally have my own healthy baking blog where I can share delicious recipes and stories about my journey, with the hope that this will eventually inspire you to start baking and living a healthy and balanced life.
If you want to learn more about how I discovered my passion for baking and my philosophy when it comes to a healthy diet, head over to bake and nourish. I am also always looking for a way to give back and support a good cause. On the charity page, you’ll find more about that …
Thanks for being here!
Love,
Marion
PS: If at any time you are too busy or intimidated to bake your own cakes or pastries (and you happen to be in Munich), let me know and I would love to deliver some home-baked goods to your house.
